Verdraagzaamheid! Peace! Verbroedering! Togetherness! De eerste house-pioniers (Summer of Love 1988) spraken niet over winstoptimalisatie, doelgroepensegmentatie of de juiste marketingmix; maar hadden i d e a l e n. In die tijd werd er een nieuw gemeenschappelijk gevoel ontwikkelt, de hokjesgeest doorbroken en de  tijd rijp gemaakt voor muzikale en maatschappelijke vernieuwing. “ House is a feeling” Nu – 21 jaar later – is house volwassen geworden en een gevestigd begrip; als muzikale stroming ver ontwikkelt en kun je spreken van een heuse industrie. De idealen van toen zijn echter actueler dan ooit!

Het zijn die idealen die voor CHemistry het uitgangspunt vormen voor het Generations of Love festival dat plaats vindt op zondag 16 augustus op Strand West, Amsterdam. Het bijeenbrengen van de verschillende generaties artiesten en bezoekers op een festival in Amsterdam. Mensen die het hart op de goede plaats hebben zitten en die in een tolerante sfeer van peace, love & happiness met elkaar een feestje willen bouwen. En dat dit kan, werd vorig jaar bewezen met een zeer succesvolle, uitverkochte dag, tijdens de eerste editie van dit festival. Een dag waar nog steeds over gesproken wordt…

“Kijk zo kan het ook: topmuziek, 's middags topweer, bij regen worden de poncho's je letterlijk toegeworpen, overgebleven bonnen kunnen terug, fietsje stallen voor de deur, geen lange wachtrij bij de ingang, in- en uitlopen” 

MAINSTAGE
Het festival op Strand West kent 4 areas met ieder een eigen creatieve invulling, sound en sfeer. Op de Mainstage draaien artiesten die een grote rol van betekenis spelen of gespeeld hebben in/voor de Nederlandse house-scene. Artiesten die house-music gemaakt hebben tot wat het is geworden en die de liefde daarvoor uitstralen. Denk o.a. aan Lil Louis, Isis, Benny Rodrigues en Marcello. Het zijn allemaal grote namen  die acte de presence geven op de Mainstage.

REKORDER-STAGE
Chemistry’s reizend partyconcept Rekord3r is heel hard gegroeid en heeft zich in drie jaar tijd ontwikkelt tot een van de toonaangevende feesten voor de nieuwe (tech)house sound. Ook dit jaar heeft Rekord3r zijn eigen stage op Generations of Love en brengt een top line up met nieuwe helden als Wouter de Moor, Anja Schneider en Sandrien.

AMSTERDAMSE HUISMERKEN AREA
Behalve door clubs als It, RoXy en Ma22o is house-music vooral groot gemaakt door bekende, regelmatig terugkerende feesten/concepten. Zij hebben heel erg bijgedragen aan de reputatie van Amsterdam als tolerante party stad. In de Amsterdamse Huismerken Area vindt je een paar van die belangrijke House-Brands als Risk Soundsystem, LoveBoat, TimeMachine en RUSH.

CASABLANCA DISCO CIRCUS (VIP-4-ALL-AREA)
Het Casablanca Disco Circus is een rommeltje. Van alles wat zonder al te veel samenhang. Maar wel gezellig. Muziek, maar ook muzak en karaoke. Dit is de vip-4-all-area met medewerking van allerlei coryfeeën uit het Amsterdamse nachtleven. Onder andere de mensen van café Diep geven invulling aan  deze area. Je kunt en mag  hier van alles verwachten: van Disco3000 tot spirituele massages. 

Strand West is een prachtige locatie op 5 minuten afstand van Amsterdam-centrum en  ruim van opzet met voldoende ruimte voor vier areas/podia. Behalve muziek,  is er voldoende gedacht aan gevarieerd eten en drinken. Van cocktails tot wraps en van bier tot barbecue.

Tolerance! Peace! Brotherhood! Togetherness! 
The original Pioneers of House (Summer of Love 1988) didn’t think along the lines of profit maximization, target group segmentation or the proper marketing mix; they had i d e a l s. In those days a new sense of community was born, social labels were shed and the foundation was laid for a musical and social renovation. “House is a feeling…” Now - 21 years later - House has grown up to become an institution; within the music scene it has claimed its stake to become a true industry. Still, the ideals from the early days are more current than ever!

For CHemistry these ideals are the foundation for the Generations of Love Festival, that takes place on Sunday August 16 at Strand West, Amsterdam. Bringing together various generations of artists and visitors at a festival in Amsterdam. People with kind hearts who want to party together in an atmosphere of peace, love & happiness. Last year our 1st edition of this festival proved that this was possible. A day that’s still fresh in many memories…

REKORDER-STAGE
In the last 3 years CHemistry’s travelling party concept Rekord3r has developed into one of the leading parties for the new (tech)house sound. This year too Rekord3r has its own stage at Generations of Love and its impressive line-up includes new heroes such as Wouter de Moor, Anja Schneider and Sandrien.

AMSTERDAMSE HUISMERKEN AREA
Besides clubs like It, RoXY and Ma22o, it have mostly been the famous recurring parties/concepts which have made House music. They have contributed a lot to Amsterdam’s reputation as tolerant Party City. In the Amsterdamse Huismerken Area (Amsterdam House Brand Area) you’ll find some of the most important House Brands such as Risk Sound System, LoveBoat, TimeMachine and RUSH.

CASABLANCA DISCO CIRCUS (VIP-4-ALL-AREA)
The Casablanca Disco Circus is a bit of a mess. Much is going on, but none of it is very structured. But it’s definitely cozy; music, but also muzak and karaoke. This is the VIP-4-all-area with contributions from many big names from the Amsterdam nightlife. Among others the people of Café Diep will help shape this area. You can expect anything here: from Disco 3000 to spiritual massages.

The beautiful location of Strand West is spacious, so the 4 areas/stages are sufficiently apart to prevent a cacophony of overlapping sound. In between there’s a variety of food and drinks on offer. From cocktails to wraps and from beer to BBQ.
